After a decline in the 1980's Latin has bounded back in popularity for both the scholar and the hobbyist. Bookstores now have a dozen Latin books on the shelf.

We think Latin is among the easiest Languages to learn, perhaps just a little more complicated than its descendents Italian, Spanish and French.

Though you are unlikely to encounter Roman Legionnaires in everyday life, you can read of the conquests, the intrigues and the culture first hand.

You may wish to learn Latin from a general linguistic perspective, or because you are interested in Roman culture, history, or wisdom, or you may need help to straighten out your Latin grammar for school.

Learning Latin will provide you a fundamental knowledge of grammatical terminology, a base vocabulary for learning most of the Indo-European languages and a unique experience “ab fontibus” – from the source!

      Via antiqua via tuta est. – the old (ancient) way is a safe way.
